Red Laser Records are a very exciting label that are from Manchester and I have loved every piece of music that I have heard so far!The “Mind Bender” Ep by Starion continues this trend of Modern Sounding Italo Disco and House, with a sound that is a mix of classic producers such as Moroder, Carpenter, Patrick Cowley but still manages to sound fresh and exciting !They always have great artwork on the sleeves and the cover for this EP is exceptional!
“Mind Bender” is a spacey Italo banger with a really dark vocal and weird groove that reminds me of Emile Strunz a little !
I am pretty sure I have heard “Hynoto Roboto” on a mix (might be Il Bosco!?) with its beautiful synth lines its going to be pretty hard to forget it !It also features a quality remix from Kid Machine who I hope to hear more of as well
As far as I can see this release is going to be vinyl only (But if you have a digital copy I would love one!!)
